Photographing plants in cultivation is even more rewarding sometimes than trying to photograph them in the wild. It is possible to spend time searching for the best angle and light knowing that the plants will not run away. Plants in pots also allow placement in suitable locations for photography sheltered from wind, the big enemy of flower photography. There is also often time to wait for a plant to come into full flower before returning to take the picture. The galleries on this page focus on garden plants and cacti, a particular interest of mine.
